Terms of Service
Last updated on October 30, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Microlink website, API, dashboard, SDKs, tools and browser extensions (the “Services”). By creating an account, using an API key or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Services on behalf of a company, you confirm you can bind that company, and “you” means the company.
1. Who we are
The Services are provided by Microlink Labs, S.L. (“Microlink”, “we”), with tax ID (CIF) B93825263 (EU VAT number ESB93825263), registered address at Paseo Fotógrafo Verdú, 2, Piso 4, Puerta IZ, 30002 Murcia, Spain, and registered in the Mercantile Registry of Murcia, sheet MU-121050. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. Accounts and API keys
2.1 You must give accurate account information and keep it up to date.
2.2 Your API key identifies your account. Keep it confidential. You are responsible for all usage made with your API key until you tell us it has been compromised.
2.3 You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Services.
3. Plans, fees and billing
3.1 Plans, quotas and prices are described on the pricing page. The Free plan requires no payment details.
3.2 Paid plans are billed by card through Stripe. Business and Enterprise customers can also pay by invoice, under the terms of their signed agreement.
3.3 Upgrades take effect immediately and are pro-rated. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
3.4 Responses served from cache do not count toward your quota. When you reach your quota, requests are paused until it resets or until you upgrade. The Free plan quota resets daily, and paid plan quotas reset at the start of the next month in UTC. We do not charge overage fees.
3.5 Prices exclude taxes, which are added where applicable.
4. Cancellation and refunds
4.1 You can cancel Free and Pro plans at any time by emailing [email protected] from the address you signed up with. We process cancellations within 24 hours and you keep access until the end of the period already paid.
4.2 Business and Enterprise plans follow the term and cancellation conditions of the signed agreement, including any annual commitment.
4.3 If something goes wrong on our side, contact us and we will review your case, including a refund where appropriate.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use the Services to:
- break any law, or infringe the rights of others, including intellectual property and privacy rights;
- access content you are not authorized to access, or bypass logins, paywalls or other access controls;
- attack, overload or disrupt any website, network or the Services themselves;
- distribute malware or carry out phishing, spam or fraud;
- evade quotas or rate limits, including by sharing API keys or creating multiple accounts;
- reverse engineer the Services, except where the law allows it.
You are responsible for the URLs you send to the Services and for how you use the results. We may suspend usage that breaches this section, as set out in section 9.
6. Your content and data
6.1 You keep all rights to the content and data you send to the Services and to the outputs you receive. You give us permission to process them only to provide the Services to you.
6.2 We never use your content to train or fine-tune AI models.
6.3 Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data about you. Where we process personal data on your behalf, our Data Processing Agreement forms part of these Terms. Our current subprocessors are listed at microlink.io/subprocessors.
7. Our intellectual property
The Services, including the software, documentation and the Microlink name and logo, belong to Microlink or its licensors. These Terms give you a right to use the Services, not ownership of them. Open-source software we publish is licensed under its own license. If you send us feedback, we may use it without any obligation to you.
8. Availability and changes
8.1 We commit to 99.9% uptime on paid plans. Live availability and incident history are published on our status page. Service credits apply only where a signed Enterprise agreement provides for them.
8.2 The Free plan is provided without an uptime commitment.
8.3 We may improve, change or retire features. If a change materially reduces a paid feature you rely on, we will tell you in advance.
9. Suspension and termination
9.1 You can stop using the Services at any time.
9.2 We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if payment is not made, or if your usage puts the Services or other users at risk. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
9.3 This section applies to every plan, Free and paid. If we detect abuse, including any use that breaches section 5, we may suspend or close your account immediately and without prior notice.
9.4 After termination, we delete your content in accordance with the Data Processing Agreement.
10. Disclaimer
The Services depend on third-party websites we do not control. To the extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is”, and we do not warrant that results will be accurate, complete or uninterrupted.
11. Limitation of liability
11.1 To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, revenue or data.
11.2 To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from these Terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
11.3 Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or gross negligence, or any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
12. Signed agreements
If you have signed a separate agreement with Microlink, such as a Business or Enterprise service agreement, that agreement prevails over these Terms where they conflict.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will tell you about material changes by email or on this page before they take effect. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If you keep using the Services after a change takes effect, the updated Terms apply.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any dispute will be submitted to the courts of Murcia, Spain, without prejudice to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer to bring a claim in your country of residence.
